Charles Ingram Shaneyfelt, 75, of Nashville, passed away on Sunday, February 28. He was the son of the late Truman Charles Shaneyfelt and late Pauline Amanda Ingram, both originally of Alabama. He attended Parmer School, Hillsboro High School, and the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. In his early career Charles was a hairstylist working with his father who owned salons in Nashville, then subsequently the owner-operator of his own salon, Charles Coiffures, together with his wife, Brenda Brown Shaneyfelt. His passion and talent for metal sculpture eventually became his full-time occupation through his business CharlesCraft Metals, and...

Charles Ingram Shaneyfelt, 75, of Nashville, passed away on Sunday, February 28. He was the son of the late Truman Charles Shaneyfelt and late Pauline Amanda Ingram, both originally of Alabama. He attended Parmer School, Hillsboro High School, and the University of Tennessee-Knoxville. In his early career Charles was a hairstylist working with his father who owned salons in Nashville, then subsequently the owner-operator of his own salon, Charles Coiffures, together with his wife, Brenda Brown Shaneyfelt. His passion and talent for metal sculpture eventually became his full-time occupation through his business CharlesCraft Metals, and he was widely recognized in the architectural and interior design community for custom-fabricated architectural metalwork in some of the finest and most unique homes in Nashville and surrounding areas. Charles was a humble, quiet, gracious man, who was dearly loved by his family and friends. He particularly loved wildlife, and his home in the woods. He is survived by his wife of fifty-four years, Brenda, daughters Sheri Francis Shaneyfelt and Shannon Shaneyfelt (Mark) Doyle, grandchildren Henry, Louisa, and Charlie Doyle, sister Amanda Faye Collins, a niece and three nephews, and one grand-niece and four grand-nephews.



Visitation will be held on Friday, March 4, 2016, starting at twelve o’clock, with memorial service to follow at two o’clock, both at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 33 Burton Hills Blvd, in Green Hills, Nashville, TN.



Graveside service will follow at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN, 37204.
